Sales Nuggets and Notes
Speaking of Jeffrey Gitomer, he was in Dallas 2 weeks ago doing a powerful sales seminar and the week before he joined me at Kyle Wilson Inner Circle Mastermind in Philly.
I took TONS of notes both times. Wouldn’t be fair to Jeffrey to share them all here (20 pages) but I wanted to share at least a couple dozen key thoughts and ideas he shared. Was so good! Enjoy!
Ask yourself, “Whats unique about my company? What makes me stand out?”
No one is going to be a good sales person if they aren’t a good person – Napoleon Hill
Always be thinking, Whats Now, Whats New, Whats Next
Change is
Yellow Pages – Google
Newspapers – Online New
Blackberry – iPhone
Rolodex – LinkedIn
1 Hour Photo – Instagram
Taxi – Uber
CD’s – Download/iTunes

Change is also:
online presence
online reviews
social media

social selling
How are you keeping up with the times
Best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The 2nd best time is now
Earn likes instead of beg for them.
Reality:
Every complaint and every service call is a sales opportunity.
Everyone is not in sales, but everyone is in service. Everyone is in attitude.
Your people and customers need to see your actions (not words.) They need to see your
Enthusiasm
Hard work
Belief
Dedication
Ethics
In America you can be greedy, but not for a long time. You won’t last.
Three most important things in leadership
Attitude, belief, resilience.
In sales, your belief, and the belief of others play a major role in the customers decision.
Rule of sales is don’t qualify people, just like them and they may like you back.
Don’t measure sales.
Measure what happens AFTER the sale.
Measure outcome
Measure loyalty
Measure re-orders
Measure testimonials
Never cost as much to fix the problem as it does to not fix the problem.
Leaders value and display tolerance & temperance
Praise in public reprimand in private
The sale is made emotional & justified mentally.
Your brand and reputation are critical to your success
If you aren’t doing what your kids are doing your behind
How well are you building and representing your brand daily
Attract with message
Engage with value
Connect with emotion
and Sell with proof
Recruit for attitude & then skill. I want smart people who are happy.
Leaders train with their people continuously
When you say something about yourself its bragging. When someone else says its proof. Get testimonials!
Failure occurs when people fail to do their best
Leaders speak from the heart, not head
Customers heart is attached to their wallet & price is attached to the head.
To be great anywhere, you must be great in your own world
Live the moment not just your life
Everyone wants to be remembered or leave a legacy
When you do the right thing long enough, good things will fall into your lap
People want the result/outcome
What happens after customer buys dedicates the future outcome.
Everyone at one time was a beginner (Bobby Fisher)
Gitomers first hour each morning:
Write, read, prepared, think create
You get great day by day

“Kyle is one of my old and dear friends and one of the smartest marketing guys I have had the opportunity to work with. He is the scrappy marketing guy. Kyle is the real deal and finds ways to create product, add value, help people, build community, he’s unbelievable.” Eric Worre, Author of Go Pro
