Jim Rohn would always say to me, “Kyle, let’s go do something remarkable!”
How powerful!
We’re all wired and motivated differently. But one thing I’ve found for myself over the years, whether its business related, sticking to a work out routine, or taking on a new discipline like learning a foreign language or playing the guitar, is that synergy always has more pulling power for me than strictly accountability.
Accountability can be powerful. Committing to someone and staying in touch has a powerful effect.
But, sometimes we just need synergistic connections to get us going.
Recently I started working out with my 22-year-old son. He has helped me take my workout to a whole new level. I can assure you that if he wasn’t there pushing himself and working out with me, I would not push myself as far.
There is power and synergy in having a work out partner, or going to a class, church, or any kind of event where there are other people with similar goals and aspirations. It creates a synergistic effect. I see it all the time in our mastermind groups.
When you get around other people who are committed and striving to be better, it has a pulling power which allows you to do so much more than you could do on your own.
If you’re not having the success you want in a particular area, even if you have an accountability partner, maybe what you’re missing is a synergy partner. Maybe you’re lacking someone to sit down and play the guitar with twice a week, to do a weekly call practicing the foreign language you’re learning, to go work out with, or play tennis, golf, hike, or whatever it is.
Jim Rohn said one of the major variables in your success gets down to your associations and who you spend time with.
That is really how my Inner Circle Mastermind was birthed. I was on a four day ski trip with long time, good friends Darren Hardy, John Assaraf, Eric Berman and Steven Cox in Telluride CO about 4 years ago. All four of them were part of a private mastermind in San Diego, and I was the lone man out since I lived in Dallas.
After witnessing the impact their own mastermind was having on them, with their strong encouragement, I came back to Dallas and decided to start my own.
That was four years ago, and the Inner Circle Mastermind I created has been life-changing for me and all the members who are a part of it. We really do have some amazing people from all over the country and other countries that get together and bring it when we meet.
So, I encourage you to seek out and find ways to collaborate and get involved with others who are also wanting to achieve what you want to achieve.
As Jim Rohn would always tell me, Let’s Do Something Remarkable!
“Let’s” can be a powerful word!
To Your Success!
