How and Why to Level Up

I’m part of weekly radio show and this past weeks topic was Your Network is Your Net Worth. It forced me to spent some time thinking about this.

I’m often ask what was the biggest secret to me going from a small town, no college, no mentors, to then filling up large rooms and promoting Jim Rohn, Brian Tracy, Og Mandino and then launching Jim Rohn Int and Your Success Store.

The answer is found in this term, leveling up!

The minute I meet Jerry Haines in 1989 and was introduced to personal development and the seminar industry it began a whole new world.

Then meeting and starting to promote Jim Rohn in 1989, Brian Tracy and Og Mandino in 1992, Les Brown and Mark Victor Hansen in 1994 and so many more over the years were all a series of powerful associations and leveling up.

It changed my life!

Having Jim Rohn for over 18 years sharing with me all his golden nuggets. That wealth came from bringing value to the marketplace and becoming valuable to valuable people. Mark Victor Hansen sharing with me the power of vision and Big Thinking! Les Brown sharing the power of enthusiasm, belief and attitude.

I’m such a believer of leveling up that I started hosting Masterminds at my house a few years back. Having guest like Mark Victor Hansen. Chris Widener. Phil Collen of Def Leppard, Larry Thompson and Ron White join us.

The response was so great that I started the Kyle Wilson Inner Circle Mastermind.

Here are some of the key things I’ve discovered about how and why to level up since starting the Inner Circle.

A good player added to a great team can become a great player! When you get around other great people it makes you better! Period. You get around not so great people it makes you worse.

Access to valuable knowledge and learning in condensed time frames. We have a firehose of information and strategies shared at every meeting and without any outside agendas. In other words nothing is being sold or solicited. No informercials. Just the pure real deal. We don’t drag a subject out to fill in the time. We have 10-30 minute segments and help seats with the best of the best information is being shared by the best people!

Synergy! I can’t emphasis enough how much I see this empower and change lives. As our groups (I do these in Dallas and LA and some other locations) come together and share our stories, our victories, our challenges and our best ideas I have noticed over a period of time businesses are making more money, health is improving, more books are getting read, relationships are on the mend, lifestyle is becoming a priority, the feeling of support and community continues to grow and peoples associations and networks have massively expanded.

The great Charlie Tremendous Jones said we will become in 5 years the sum total of the people we spend the most time with. In fact when you study where music, art, business, etc is thriving it is usually hot beds of greatness coming out in specific times and places where an unusually high amount of achievers and outliers have assembled. That’s synergy!

The power of community. When you get around a group of like minded, diverse people that have a philosophy of giving and wanting to help each other it is one the most powerful forces on earth. And I did include the word philosophy. Jim Rohn said your entire life and success will be determined by your personal philosophy. Anyone that has every attended one of my masterminds will tell you we have the best people with the best philosophy and there is a powerful feeling of support and community. And I give all the credit to Jim Rohn. That is who I attract. Jim Rohn fans and students since I was Jim’s 18 year biz partner.

Diversity! Members include entrepreneurs, real estate investors and syndicators, authors, speakers, coaches, fitness experts, actors, network marketers, 4 surgeons 3 doctors and more. The most common trait among them all is they almost all have multiple steams of income. For example the 3 doctors, one has an online business and is also does real estate investing, another is an author and has a real estate investment fund and the 3rd has an online biz and a daily segment on CBS news. This is common among many of the members. Their desire to build multiple skills, connections and streams of income.

Access to amazing people! We have amazing people that fly in from all over the country that share freely of their wisdom, knowledge and skills.
